Data warehousing

← All data analysis services

Your shop, CRM, marketing and finance data in one place, ready for analysis and dashboards.

What it is

When your data lives in several systems, every report starts with exporting and joining spreadsheets. A data warehouse brings it together in one place, kept up to date on a schedule.

We set up warehouses in BigQuery, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric, copy in data from your shop, CRM, marketing and finance systems, and agree consistent definitions, such as what counts as a customer or a sale. Not every business needs one: many start with spreadsheets, and we’ll tell you honestly.

Want dashboards on top? See Dashboards and Data connectors.

Who it’s for

Businesses whose reports take days to pull together, teams joining data from several systems by hand, and companies planning dashboards across the whole business.

Questions we can answer

Examples of the questions we can answer:

  • Can we see shop, CRM and finance data in one place?
  • Why does every report take days to put together?
  • Do we actually need a data warehouse yet?
  • Which warehouse fits the systems we already use?

What’s included

  • Needs review: what you want to report on, and whether a warehouse is the right step yet.
  • Platform choice: BigQuery, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric, chosen to fit your systems and budget. We explain why.
  • Data pipelines: data copied in from your systems on a schedule.
  • Shared definitions: one agreed meaning for customers, orders and revenue.
  • Access and security: who can see what, set up from the start.
  • Monitoring and documentation: alerts if a load fails, and a plain-English guide to what’s in the warehouse.

What you get

  • A warehouse in your own account
  • Data loaded from your systems on a schedule
  • Agreed definitions for key figures
  • Access set up by role
  • Plain-English documentation

What we measure

  • Time to produce a report
  • Systems connected
  • Failed data loads
  • Data freshness
  • Running costs each month

Done properly

  • Your data stays yours: it stays in your systems and accounts, and we don’t keep copies after the work ends.
  • Secure access: named accounts, read-only wherever possible, and our access removed when the work ends.
  • Data minimisation: we only take the data each question needs, and leave out personal details wherever the answer doesn’t depend on them.
  • Retention: we agree how long each type of data is kept, and set the warehouse up to match.

Questions

Do we need a data warehouse?

Not always. If your questions only need one or two systems, spreadsheets or a direct connection may be enough. We’ll tell you honestly in the free audit.

Which platform should we use?

It depends on the systems you use and your budget. BigQuery fits naturally with Google tools, Microsoft Fabric with Microsoft 365, and Snowflake works well across both. We recommend one, and explain why.

Who pays the running costs?

You do. The warehouse is set up in your own account, and you pay the provider directly. We don’t resell it. We keep an eye on running costs and tell you if they start to climb.

Can we build dashboards on it?

Yes. That’s often the next step. See Business intelligence.
