Cyber Essentials readiness: we get you ready and guide you through certification with an accredited certification body.
What it is
Cyber Essentials is the UK government-backed scheme that shows you have the basic protections in place against common online attacks. Some customers and contracts ask for it.
We check your set-up against the scheme, fix the gaps and guide you through certification with an accredited certification body. We don’t issue certificates ourselves.
Who it’s for
Small and medium businesses bidding for contracts that ask for Cyber Essentials, and owners who want the basics done properly.

- Gap check: your set-up checked against the scheme’s requirements.
- Fixes: updates, secure settings, multi-factor sign-in, admin access and malware protection.
- Self-assessment support: help answering the questionnaire accurately.
- Certification: we guide you through submission to an accredited certification body.

Done properly
- Who certifies: we get you ready and guide you through certification with an accredited certification body. We don’t issue certificates ourselves.
- Cyber Essentials fees: the certification body’s fee for the basic self-assessment (IASME, 2025-26, plus VAT) is £320 for micro, £440 for small, £500 for medium and £600 for large organisations. It typically takes 2–4 weeks from scoping to certificate.
- Cyber Essentials Plus: adds a hands-on technical check. There’s no fixed public price, because each certification body sets its own. It must be done within 3 months of the basic certificate and adds about 1–3 weeks.
