Cloud accounting that’s ready for Making Tax Digital and e-invoicing, and connected to the rest of your business.

What it is

Cloud accounting keeps your books up to date, links to your bank and sends returns to HMRC. Set up well, it saves hours of typing and gives you a clearer view of cash.

We set up and connect Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, and NetSuite for bigger or multi-entity businesses. We get you ready for Making Tax Digital and e-invoicing, and we work alongside your accountant.

Who it’s for

Sole traders and landlords facing Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, businesses still on spreadsheets or desktop software, and teams retyping sales and invoices between systems.

What’s included

  • Review: your current software, processes and tax deadlines, with your accountant.
  • Set-up or move: chart of accounts, bank feeds, users and permissions, and data moved from your old system.
  • Making Tax Digital: software and record-keeping set up to meet the rules that apply to you.
  • E-invoicing readiness: systems and processes that can handle e-invoices when the rules land.
  • Connections: your CRM, shop and payments linked to your books, and supplier invoices read automatically. See Integrations and Document processing.

Done properly

  • Making Tax Digital for Income Tax: mandatory since 6 April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000. The threshold drops to over £30,000 from April 2027 and over £20,000 from April 2028. These phases apply to sole traders and landlords, not limited companies.
  • Making Tax Digital for VAT: already applies to all VAT-registered businesses, including limited companies.
  • E-invoicing: becomes mandatory for UK VAT invoices from April 2029, with a roadmap due in the 2026 Budget. The detailed rules aren’t published yet, so we focus on getting you ready: systems that can send and receive e-invoices when the rules land.
  • We’re not accountants. We set up the systems, and your accountant advises on tax.

Questions

Does Making Tax Digital for Income Tax apply to my limited company?

Not under the current phases. They apply to sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 (since 6 April 2026), over £30,000 (from April 2027) and over £20,000 (from April 2028). If your company is VAT-registered, Making Tax Digital for VAT already applies.

Which accounting software should we use?

Xero, QuickBooks and Sage all suit small and growing businesses. NetSuite suits bigger or multi-entity businesses. We recommend one with your accountant, and explain why.

What do we need to do about e-invoicing?

E-invoicing becomes mandatory for UK VAT invoices from April 2029. The detailed rules aren’t published yet, so for now the job is making sure your systems can cope when they are.

Will you work with our accountant?

Yes. We handle the systems, and your accountant handles tax advice.

Pricing: bigger projects start with a fixed-price discovery from £1,500 + VAT. Projects from £2,500 + VAT, with the scope and price agreed upfront. Support from £250 + VAT a month. Every project starts with a free audit.
